Prosimo Redefines Network Cost Management with Cloud Cost 360

By Stefania Viscusi

Multi-cloud networking provider Prosimo has launched Cloud Cost 360 suite, a new solution that empowers enterprises with insights into their networking costs and egress data charges, and one that provides savings through available cloud pathways (including cloud backbones and private connections spanning various cloud environments).

This offering comes at a time when distributed enterprise cloud journeys are the norm, and a streamlined multi-cloud infrastructure that enables companies to innovate rapidly while maintaining a firm grip on their operations, is needed. At the same time, the increasing complexity of configuring and managing cloud-native services has also raised concerns about cloud waste and cost optimization.

With the Prosimo integrated stack cloud networking, performance, security, observability, and cost management are all included. Combined with data-driven insights and machine learning models, users get autonomous cloud networking solutions that not only reduce complexity but also mitigate risks.

"Cloud networking costs are a new area for business to consider. Working with multiple cloud providers is right for most companies, but that opens them up to data egress charges," said Andy Linham, Senior Strategist at Vodafone Business at Vodafone Business. "Observability and accountability are key to reducing the impact of these costs, and that's where a full stack solution brings massive benefits."

Recognizing a common pain point in the cloud space – network costs (which typically account for an average of 17% of overall cloud expenditures) – Prosimo is bringing advanced visibility into networking costs, whether within a single cloud environment or across multiple clouds.

Specifically, Prosimo provides visibility at the L4-7 layer and streamlines connectivity. This approach accelerates the time to value and results in significant cost savings for cloud-based operations.

Prosimo also simplifies cost allocation and chargeback for cloud environments by accurately assigning costs to apps or units based on usage patterns and can optimize network expenses by strategically leveraging private paths alongside public cloud backbones.
