Fortinet Recognizes GDT with Engage Preferred Services Partner Designation

By Greg Tavarez

Remote work arrangements introduce challenges related to maintaining team collaboration and communication, as physical separation can hinder spontaneous interactions and impede the exchange of ideas. On top of that, ensuring data security becomes increasingly complex as employees access company resources from various locations, potentially exposing sensitive information to greater risks.

Fortinet has made a steadfast commitment to assisting partners in tackling the challenges presented by remote work arrangements, hybrid IT setups, and the constantly shifting threat landscape. To achieve this, they've established the Fortinet Engage Partner Program, complemented by a suite of empowering tools designed for their partners.

The program's core objective is to create unique pathways for growth through Fortinet's extensive product portfolio, underpinned by the Fortinet Security Fabric, a security framework meticulously designed to protect a customer's complete infrastructure, extending from the core of the data center to the vast reaches of the cloud.

The program is a strategic tool that gives partners essential industry insights, equipping them to seize new business prospects. It also lets them expedite digital transformation for their customers through tailor-made programs while concurrently fueling the growth of their partner network.

Within the program is the Engage Preferred Services Partner (EPSP) designation that recognizes partners that can operate and maintain security solutions, deepen customer relationships, and create a predictable, recurring revenue stream.

Gaining that designation recently is General Datatech (GDT).

GDT is a well-established company with a 26-year history that specializes in accelerating their clients' digital transformation and business objectives by modernizing platforms, networks and cybersecurity through infrastructure solutions and flexible service delivery models.

To attain the EPSP recognition, GDT displayed a high level of service quality and best practices in Fortinet deployment and operations within their client base, backed by substantial investments in certifications and process alignment with Fortinet. This alignment enables GDT to collaborate closely with Fortinet's professional services and regional sales teams, facilitating mutual consultation and support.

As a Fortinet EPSP, GDT gains access to specialized training and direct guidance from Fortinet experts, enabling them to develop advanced security offerings and services for clients, particularly those with rapidly evolving and expanding hybrid network infrastructures.

GDT also can work closely with Fortinet Professional Support experts to leverage Fortinet's best practices, leading to enhanced expertise and visibility, while expanding their services portfolio.

“This designation enables us to provide a suite of services across the entire Fortinet portfolio in support of our customers' business and cybersecurity needs," said Jeanne Malone, Vice President of Security for GDT. "The advanced knowledge and expertise we've gained through Fortinet Preferred Services Partner accreditation enables us to provide incredible value to our clients, who can count on us to accelerate successful business outcomes.”

GDT pursued EPSP designation as part of its commitment to helping customers scale and transform their hybrid, cloud, network and security infrastructure.
