Logicalis Launches Intelligent Connectivity Suite with Cisco-Powered Managed Services

By Greg Tavarez

The global private 5G network market size was estimated at $1.45 billion in 2021, according to a report from Custom Market Insights. It is now expected to hit around $41.80 billion by 2030, poised to grow at a CAGR of 49.7%.

Private 5G networks offer more reliable connectivity, faster data rates, lower latency, greater scalability, security and network control than previous communications technologies. This makes them ideal for businesses that require high-performance mobility, data privacy protection, support for data-intensive applications and control over network performance.

As a result, many forward-looking enterprises are exploring how private cellular networks, 5G and edge computing technologies can create more value for their organizations. Logicalis, a global technology service provider, implements private 5G networks in various industries such as oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, healthcare and higher education. They have a dedicated global Connectivity center of excellence that provides expertise in building, provisioning, managing and supporting connectivity for an ever-changing world.

On its mission to offer next-generation digital managed services, Logicalis recently launched Intelligent Connectivity powered by Cisco. This suite of solutions includes private 5G as well as SD-WAN, SASE, SSE, SD-Access and ACI Data Centre.

SD-WAN is a cloud-delivered overlay WAN architecture that provides a more efficient and cost-effective way to connect branch offices, data centers and multi-cloud environments while ensuring a predictable user application experience. SASE is a cloud-based service that combines networking and security functions to deliver secure access to applications from anywhere users work. SSE provides advanced security services such as access control, threat protection, data security, security monitoring and acceptable-use control to secure access to web, cloud services and private applications.

SD-Access is a Cisco solution that provides policy-based automation from the edge to the cloud. ACI Data Centre, or Application Centric Infrastructure, is a Cisco solution that provides centralized automation and policy-driven application profiles for data center networks.

Customers can choose to access the full suite or a combination of digital managed services that are built on Cisco technology and supported by the Logicalis Digital Fabric Platform.

"Our Intelligent Connectivity proposition gives customers secure, scalable and sustainable connectivity and has the potential to unlock huge innovation and growth possibilities,” said Toby Alcock, global chief technology officer, Logicalis. “With the Digital Fabric Platform layered on top, we're enabling customers to maximize their 5G investments and deliver measurable value to their respective businesses."

In addition, Logicalis achieved the Cisco Private 5G Strategic Designation. This adds to their five existing Cisco-powered certifications in the Intelligent Connectivity suite, which include Managed Cisco SDWAN, Managed Meraki SDWAN, Managed Meraki Security, Managed SASE and Managed Campus Access.
