Salve Regina University Partners with NWN Carousel for Next Gen Cloud Communication

By Stefania Viscusi

In a bid to revolutionize the campus experience for students, administration, and faculty, NWN Carousel, a Cloud Communications Service Provider (CCSP), announced it partnered with Salve Regina University to deliver integrated experiences through its Experience Management Platform (EMP). The goal is to deliver a secure work-and-learn-from-anywhere environment at its university.

NWN Carousel's EMP combines unified communications, security, contact center capabilities, managed devices, connectivity, and advanced technology. It offers a unified view of cloud systems and devices, seamless integration with various UC&C tools, and enhanced analytics for IT systems. The platform also provides support for PCI compliance, next-generation firewalls, switches, and access points.

Salve Regina University will use the platform to elevate its technology initiatives and provide its community with secure access to state-of-the-art technologies and create an integrated and immersive learning environment.

Security will also be at the forefront with the implementation of 24/365 Artificial Intelligence intrusion detection and prevention measures, bolstering the university's overall cybersecurity protection across its entire campus.

In addition, the partnership will intro a new networking infrastructure with performance and availability that will be the backbone of its Esports gaming program

Irving Bruckstein, Chief Information Security Officer at Salve Regina University, commented, "We collaborated closely with NWN Carousel engineers to architect a solution that migrated our entire Unified Communications system to the cloud. The project was a tremendous success, enabling Salve staff to work from anywhere while having access to high-quality professional communication tools."

"Working with NWN Carousel, we also implemented state-of-the-art networking infrastructure, providing robust wired and wireless access to everyone. During the pandemic, every student had an exceptional online synchronous engagement learning experience right from their residence halls."
