LastPass Launches Allegiance Partner Program to Safeguard Digital Credentials

By Greg Tavarez

Data breaches and cyber threats are prevalent, and malicious actors continue to look to compromise credentials to gain access to company data. Verizon’s 2023 Data Breach Investigations Report estimates that compromised credentials are responsible for 49% of data breaches.

As organizations strive to protect their sensitive data and safeguard their digital infrastructure, channel partner programs offer a means to pool resources, expertise and technologies, ultimately enhancing the collective ability to combat the persistent and evolving threats that jeopardize the integrity and security of information in the modern age.

LastPass, a provider of password management and security solutions, recognizes the significance of collaborative efforts in combating compromised credentials. And so, LastPass has launched the LastPass Allegiance Partner Program. This program is aimed at empowering solution providers, MSPs and technology partners to assist their customers in preventing security breaches caused by compromised credentials.

LastPass has tailored the Allegiance Partner Program to meet the specific needs of different partner categories. LastPass Solution Providers, for instance, are companies that specialize in designing, selling, and implementing LastPass solutions for their end customers. On the other hand, LastPass MSP Partners offer managed services that incorporate LastPass offerings, providing comprehensive security solutions to their own customer base.

Additionally, LastPass welcomes technology and developer partners who want to promote and scale activities with LastPass, driving sales and usage of both partners' solutions while delivering value to LastPass customers.

The LastPass Allegiance Partner Program comes with a wide array of other benefits, as well.

Benefits include access to comprehensive product knowledge, as well as marketing, business development and technical support. LastPass Allegiance partners can take advantage of a tier-based discount structure, deal registration, marketing support, and technical and sales enablement. The program also offers proof of concept and solution consulting support, empowering partners to effectively demonstrate the value and capabilities of LastPass solutions to their customers.

Additionally, as part of LastPass's commitment to ongoing education and professional development, the program grants partners access to LastPass University. The online training platform offers sales accreditations and technical certifications necessary for partners to expand their LastPass practice.

Through training, partner organizations can determine their tier within the program, unlocking a range of benefits commensurate with their level. The LastPass Allegiance Partner Program distinguishes between silver, gold, and platinum level partners, providing each with tailored advantages and opportunities to tap into new and expanded market segments.

“Our partners are committed to helping their customers better protect their credentials, and LastPass is equally committed to our partners, building a program that gives each partner the flexibility they want and deserve when bringing the LastPass solution to market,” said Patrick McCue, Global Vice President of Partners, LastPass. “We're investing in the tools, resources, platforms and program enhancements to create a path for partners of all sized to grow profitably while expanding their security practice.”

By strengthening collaboration with solution providers, MSPs and Technology Partners, LastPass aims to create a more secure digital environment where compromised credentials are less likely to lead to data breaches.
