N-able Partners with JCDC to Enhance Security for Global MSP Ecosystem

By Stefania Viscusi

Software company N-able provides solutions to monitor, manage, and secure their customers’ systems, data, and networks. It recognizes the significance of combating security threats and reducing vulnerabilities, particularly for organizations that provide critical services.

Recently, the company announced a collaboration with the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC) to enhance global security and mitigate risks for MSPs and their clients.

The JCDC was established by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in August 2021, with the aim of fostering real-time private-public operational collaboration to address cyber threats proactively. By combining private sector innovation with federal cyber capabilities, JCDC works to collectively reduce cyber risk nationwide.

Through the JCDC 2023 Planning Agenda, they aim to strengthen cybersecurity and reduce supply chain risks for small and medium critical infrastructure entities. This collaboration involves working closely with remote monitoring and management, managed service providers, and managed security service providers.

Their expertise will be used to assist in strengthening the security posture of MSPs and their customers so they can shift from being reactive to threats to proactive in protecting against them.

“By having the opportunity to collaborate with JCDC, we’re aiming to develop guidelines designed to make sure we're not only helping our customers manage their security posture with our products, but also helping to create a more secure MSP ecosystem. And that should be critical for all of us,” said Dave MacKinnon, chief security officer at N-able. “To me, it doesn’t matter whether they're N-able customers or not. It’s important we provide a secure global ecosystem for all MSPs and their customers.”
