New Switches Complement Datto Access Points

New Switches Complement Datto Access Points

Networking is essential. Small businesses or large enterprises, it doesn’t matter. Networking is essential.

With Wi-Fi 6 being the more recent iteration of Wi-Fi, Datto offers access points, edge routers and switches to help businesses get the most out of the faster, more efficient internet connection that comes with Wi-Fi 6.

To complement its existing product lines, the Kaseya company’s second-generation family of cloud managed switches is available.

Datto switches are built for easy and efficient remote management. They provide affordable, high-performance switching to seamlessly connect devices and users. With various models that meet any size of network, Datto Switches are plug-and-play and make setup and configuration seamless.

Datto switches also come in low-, medium- and high-density configurations, and include scalable power over Ethernet on copper ports. What this means is that the need for additional and costly power runs or injectors to power endpoints, such as wireless access points, IP cameras, smart lights and point-of-sale systems, are eliminated.

With that said, four new switch models are introduced with the company’s second-generation family of cloud managed switches.

The DSW100-8P-2G includes 8 GbE copper ports and 2 SFP optical ports. The DSW100-24P-4X includes 24 GbE copper ports and 4 SFP+ optical ports. The DSW100-48P-4X includes 48 GbE copper ports and 4 SFP+ optical ports. The DSW250-8P-2X includes 8 2.5GbE copper ports and 2 SFP+ optical ports.

The switches complement Datto's existing line of Wi-Fi access points, which support the high-performance Wi-Fi 6 standard. The switches also complement Datto’s integrated secure router, which provides a comprehensive firewall and routing needed for small- to medium-sized businesses.

Datto also expanded the global availability of Datto Secure Edge, a cloud-managed SASE solution that helps organizations achieve a zero trust security posture. Datto Secure Edge improves latency issues by prioritizing SaaS and business application traffic to ensure remote and hybrid workers enjoy a seamless experience while on the road or at home.

The solution also provides seamless application control and web content filtering to protect users from web-based attacks and malware.

Additionally, Datto is giving partners different ways to purchase its networking gear. MSPs and small- to medium-sized businesses can go with an up-front payment option for hardware coupled with a support service subscription or put zero down and have the hardware cost spread out and added to the service subscription.

“Datto is committed to providing enterprise-grade networking solutions for small to mid-sized businesses that are reliable, easy to deploy, manage and use, at prices and purchasing models that make sense and that are available today,” said Marcus Ward, general manager of Datto.

Datto’s networking gear is part of Kaseya’s IT Complete platform. IT Complete offers one vendor with everything customers need.

Kaseya is a MSP Expo platinum sponsor in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Feb. 14-17, 2023. #TECHSUPERSHOW includes nearly a dozen collocated business technology events that bring buyers, users, sellers and partners together under one roof to educate and build business relationships around the technologies driving business success today. Kaseya will be in Booth #415 in the exhibit hall.
