The 20 MSP Hooks 4 MSPs in Aggressive Growth Plan

By Greg Tavarez

Cybersecurity challenges, cloud technology and complex computing environments expand daily and have created increased demand for managed services. As a result of the crowded market with the rise in demand for MSPs, the MSP industry is undergoing vigorous consolidation activity – a natural progression in an expanding sector.

Managed IT services provider The 20 MSP is certainly part of that consolidation activity. It has created an aggressive growth plan to expand its national footprint and add to its expertise and resources. In the process, it acquired four MSPS – adding to its its previous acquisition of six MSPs in September.

The four companies that will bring The 20 to four states are:

  • WolfGuard IT, Montana
  • Bolder Designs, Delaware
  • Byte-Werx, Arkansas
  • JS Computek, Missouri

The four organizations experienced steady growth over the past several years and success across various industry verticals. The 20 expects to draw on their collective expertise and resources to build out more sophisticated solutions and higher-value offerings for its clients.

"I'm thrilled to be joining forces with these organizations," said Tim Conkle, CEO of The 20. "Together, we're going to keep pushing the boundaries of what MSPs can do for small and medium-sized businesses. The future's looking very bright.”

Pinecrest Capital Partners served as the exclusive financial adviser to The 20 on the acquisitions and associated financing. Additional acquisitions are lined up in the coming months.

"We have plenty of MSPs in The 20's growth platform who are ready to be rolled up," said Conkle. "And because we've worked closely with these companies, a lot of the integrative work that traditional mergers require is already done.”
