Extreme Networks Collaboration Provides Advantage in Network Lifecycle Management

By Greg Tavarez

Network management is key for all telecom providers, including MSPs, who need network performance management and future provisioning, network vulnerability management and network energy infrastructure management tools to support their models.

Advantage Communications Group, an end-to-end telecom MSP, partnered with Extreme Networks to make its white-glove telecommunications services available to Extreme customers. The collaboration is creating an easier way to centralize inventory and expenses while reducing complexity and management overhead.

Advantage helps simplify the sourcing process, implement a selected solution, reduce costs post deployment and filter out the noise to distill technology chaos into data-driven, decision-useful information.

As customers deploy ExtremeCloud SD-WAN, Advantage will identify and deliver cost-effective underlying telecommunications infrastructure and save manhours and operational expenses often associated with new deployments.

ExtremeCloud SD-WAN is an all-inclusive solution that includes appliances, operating and orchestration platform, security, support and maintenance, and Extreme’s Customer Success program. Perhaps most importantly, Extreme’s ExtremeCloud IQ management platform enables a single pane of glass network management solution for all wired and wireless networks, including ExtremeCloud SD-WAN.

"For enterprises, this collaboration provides a means for reducing network and telecom costs, as well as administrative burdens by up to 20% and 40%, respectively," said David Gardner, CEO of Advantage.

Extreme is offering new and existing Extreme Premier Services customers access to Command Center from Advantage at no cost. The Command Center platform provides data-driven, decision-useful information as a managed service for technology inventory and expense management.

Clients can customize views of data to track connectivity solutions from end-to-end, report consolidated inventory and billing data and automate invoicing and general ledger processes to alleviate stress on internal teams.

Extreme and Advantage together, as Rob Rosa, senior vice president, global service sales at Extreme Networks, said, will provide customers access to an expert team that will identify cost-saving opportunities and provide on-site expertise.
