Spectrum Enhances MNE Solution

National fiber technology solutions provider Spectrum Enterprise (part of Charter Communications Inc.) revealed three new enhancements to its Managed Network Edge (MNE) solution.

Spectrum’s MNE solution is a turnkey solution delivered through the Cisco Meraki cloud platform, providing organizations with secure connectivity support to thrive in the digital age. Whether its SD-WAN, WiFi, or routing support, the MNE solution enables businesses to expand network capabilities and simplify IT management. The company’s decision to expand he solution set is a direct response to new networking demands in an era of the remote and hybrid workforce..

"The Spectrum Enterprise Managed Network Edge enhancements expand our managed offerings to include managing end users who connect to public clouds, private clouds or the corporate wide area network," said Bob Schroeder, vice president, enterprise data product management, Spectrum Enterprise. "Through our collaboration with Cisco, Spectrum Enterprise is now one of the first network providers to add the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client into a managed Meraki solution."

New enhancements to Spectrum’s MNE solution include:

  • Remote Access- Distanced workers can now securely access corporate networks through the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client application. Network activity is encrypted, and supported by an advanced firewall and unified threat management protections.
  • Teleworker-offers users a hardware gateway between worker devices and the MNE network, and allows employees to work with an office-like network with extended visibility and control for managers.
  • Virtual Edge- leveraging AWS,Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud platforms, employees can access critical business applications securely, while also benefiting from traffic prioritization and application aware routing.
