Ricoh Named Leading Cloud MPS Vendor

By Luke Bellos

Digital service and IT management company Ricoh recently revealed it was named a leader in the newly released IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Cloud MPS Hardcopy 2022 Vendor Assessment.

This study offers an in-depth assessment of the cloud-based managed print services (MPS) space, providing readers with insights into what business characteristics successful vendors have in today’s market. According to the creators of the vendor assessment, Ricoh was named a leader due to the flexibility and scalability of its MPS platform, as well as the company’s impressive focus toward meeting customer demands.

"Ricoh takes a customer-centric approach and is in a strong position to meet the expansive needs of global, regional and local customers," said Robert Palmer, Research Vice President, Imaging, Printing, and Document Solutions, IDC. "Ricoh's cloud-based MPS platform is uniquely positioned to provide customers with a comprehensive path toward digital transformation, offering a technology-agnostic approach that allows customers to pick and choose from a full menu of services that can scale to meet the evolving needs of their organization."

Managed print services are becoming a necessary part of ongoing digital transformations, especially for businesses with high quantities of physical and electronic documents. With Ricoh’s MPS support, businesses can coordinate an effective plan to manage and secure both printed and filed information, while simultaneously making it easy to search digitally for reference.

"Ricoh helps employees gain fulfillment through work by empowering organizations with tools such as our Managed Print Services and Intelligent Business Platform solutions that secure and manage the information needed for their success.” added Akira Oyama, Executive Corporate Officer and President of Ricoh Digital Services Business Unit, Ricoh Company, Ltd. “It is our global digital services experience and management expertise that play a defining role in driving digital transformations that move businesses forward."
