Bio-key Releases Upgraded Edition of PortalGuard IDaaS Platform

By Luke Bellos

Cybersecurity has a new level of importance in the post-pandemic economy. With ransomware and other cybercrimes reaching unprecedented levels as a result of increased digital activity, organizations across the globe are searching for unique strategies to avoid falling into the common traps criminals typically utilize. While many attacks are conducted through network exploits or sophisticated hacks, it’s not unusual for criminals to gain access to private areas by bypassing passwords or insecure logins

To help organizations enhance their Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies, authentication solution provider BIO-key recently launched the next generation of the PortalGuard® Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) platform. The latest version includes enhancements to the admin panel, making it simpler for IT professionals to manage and configure a wide range of authentication solutions for business applications. PortalGuard®is notable for being the only IAM platform offering Identity-Bound Biometric authentication, bringing an additional layer of advanced protection against evolving online threats.

“With limited IT resources and the significant gap in available cybersecurity talent across all industries, most organizations are struggling to figure out how to do more with less,” commented Mark Cochran, President of BIO-key – PortalGuard.  “The inspiration for the next generation of our admin experience was consistent customer feedback seeking solutions that are easy to manage, flexible, efficient, and can empower the IT team.”

The upgraded PortalGuard® IDaaS platform admin panel enables users to simplify the deployment of multi-factor authentication (MFA), contextual authentication, single sign-on (SSO), and self-service password reset (SSPR). Platform users will be able to support Zero Trust initiatives with greater visibility and improved security controls. Furthermore, the latest edition of the platform can be accessed through any web browser, allowing administrators to check in on the panel from their desktop or favorite mobile device.
