Synoptek Acquires MSP and ServiceNow Partner Rapid Technologies

By Laura Stotler

Global IT consulting company Synoptek has acquired Rapid Technologies, a MSP that is an Elite ServiceNow partner with a focus on consulting and implementation. Rapid Technologies specializes in offering managed services for ServiceNow's enterprise service management (ESM) solutions.

The acquisition will support Synoptek's abilities for envisioning and implementing ServiceNow offerings, while also helping the company offer ongoing application support management to ensure clients are getting the most out of their ServiceNow investments. Synoptek will aim to enhance business results as well by combining both companies' unique ServiceNow expertise.

“In today’s business climate, leaders are being extremely methodical when determining which computing strategies will push their organization to the next level, which has made ServiceNow a key platform to help support technology management,” said Tim Britt, CEO of Synoptek. “As businesses form more and more reliance on their organizational technologies, they must demonstrate efficient operations and a sound return on the investment. ServiceNow is a critical tool for doing just that, and this acquisition gives us access to more expertise around a platform that has become so vital to our clientele."

Rapid Technologies has been working as a MSP with specialization in ESM project deployment for more than two decades. The company has grown as customer demands for ServiceNow best practice guidance and support has increased.

Synoptek plans to extend its ServiceNow offerings by adding co-managed ServiceNow capabilities, ServiceNow application managed services and ServiceNow implementation and project expertise across the Now Platform. The company will also take on Bill Mell, CEO and President of Rapid Technologies, as well as Charley Whitt, Vice President of professionals services at Rapid. Both will serve as managing directors of the ServiceNow practice within Synoptek.

“The decision to merge with Synoptek provides extended service and solution offerings for our clients, as well as a major growth opportunity for both of our businesses,” said Mell. “As we leverage our combined team’s deep bench of expertise, we’re eager to continue our commitment to delivering innovative ServiceNow solutions to customers while making an impact in the communities that we serve.”
