Investment Firm L4 Acquires Clear Rate Communications

By Luke Bellos

Managed IT and telecommunications service provider Clear Rate recently announced it has been acquired by L4, LLC., an investment firm affiliated with Linx Partners.

Michigan-based Clear Rate has maintained a solid reputation among US-based customers, offering services in areas that include internet access, cloud server management, IT managed services, and phone system support. Outside of business scope and reliable service, Clear Rate has been on the forefront of emerging technologies, and has been vigilant in adapting to the new demands of business customers.

The well rounded nature of Clear Rate’s approach to business caught the attention of L4 investors, and feel the company is well positioned to experience massive growth in the near future.

"We were drawn to Clear Rate because of its leadership, strong technical talent, and focus on customer service.”, commented Giny Mullins, a Managing Director at L4 “We believe that, with this management team, the Company is well-positioned to capitalize on numerous growth opportunities and industry tailwinds. Clear Rate has grown to possess many of the characteristics that L4 admires in a service provider, matching well with the type of partnerships that we've made in the past to professionalize businesses for their next phase of growth."

As part of this acquisition, Clear Rate will now include Stephen Oyer and Pat O'Leary in leadership positions, with Oyer taking over as Chief Executive Officer and O’Leary as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

"Clear Rate is at a critical inflection point in its growth story," said Pat O'Leary. "The foundation is already in place for the Company to expand its capabilities and geographic reach to serve more customers. I am delighted to be able to lead the Board of Directors as we grow and build the Company."
