NTT DATA Lands $15.4 Million Contract for Argonne National Laboratory IT Support

By Luke Bellos

Global IT solutions provider NTT DATA recently announced the company is the recipient of a $15.4 million contract with Argonne National Laboratory, a midwest-based science and engineering research firm associated with the U.S. Department of Energy.

By accepting this contract, NTT DATA will digitally support the laboratory through managed services and advanced security measures. The company also plans to advise and support Argonne’s transition away from legacy infrastructure, and assist in testing and piloting for new programs.

Argonne is one of the largest government research facilities in the Midwest, supporting nearly 4,000 in-house employees, and as many as 8,000 visiting scientists. With the added technical support of NTT DATA, Argonne will be able to create a simplified digital environment that supports the complex tasks associated with scientific research.

Along with the expected support in digital services, NTT DATA also plans to assist in Argonne’s workforce development through cross training, individual development plans, and service desk support.

“We pride ourselves on providing transformative IT solutions to our public sector clients that lead to efficiencies, heightened security, better user experiences and cost savings. said Tammy McChain, Senior Vice President, Federal Health and Civilian NTT DATA “We look forward to doing the same for Argonne; driving continuous innovation and improvements for their IT needs so Argonne may maintain focus on its groundbreaking research and scientific breakthroughs.”
