India's Sify Technologies Recognized as "Major Player" in MCS by IDC

By Tracey E. Schelmetic

Chennai, India-based Sify Technologies Limited provides end-to-end ICT solutions, including telecom services, data center services, cloud and managed services, transformation integration services and application integration services. The company was recently recognized by IDC MarketScape as a “major player” in managed cloud services, as published in IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) Managed Cloud Services (MCS) 2019 Vendor Assessment.

The report provides a detailed assessment of nine managed cloud services providers in the region – including Sify Technologies – with the goal of giving readers a deeper understanding of how the profiled vendors are positioned to help them with their unique requirements in their cloud adoption journey. IDC analysts prepared the report after evaluating multiple global providers of managed cloud services across the full spectrum of cloud and IT applications.

Specifically, the IDC analysts noted that Sify helps enterprises pursue their goal of architecting and migrating workloads to any cloud thanks to its “Cloud@Core" strategy.

“Sify provides a full roster of public, private and hybrid cloud deployment options across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud and VMware, helping customers architect and migrate workloads to essentially any cloud.” said IDC Analyst Pushkaraksh Shanbhag in a statement.

Kamal Nath, CEO of Sify Technologies, noted that the company was thrilled to be recognized in the report.

“Our ‘Cloud@Core’ approach to digital transformation is gaining significant traction among enterprise customers,” said Nath. “We believe India is going to be a key market for our managed cloud services over the next five years. This recognition also validates the success of our Cloudinfinit platform."
