iland Expands Channel Efforts

iland Expands Channel Efforts

By Paula Bernier

Service provider iland has expanded its channel program to help MSPs address compliance and cybersecurity related to the cloud, and to provide more support to those partners.

The company said it has natively integrated advanced security features into its cloud platform in light of the increased risk of cyber attacks. That, it said, should help its managed service provider partners protect their customers from such threats as ransomware and to meet compliance requirements related to such things as CSA STAR, G-Cloud, HIPAA, ISO 27001, ITIL, and SOC 2. Channel partners also have access to the iland Compliance Professional Services team as they help address customer compliance, the company added.

The channel program also now provides partners with the ability to rebrand iland’s services as their own, refer a customer to iland and collect recurring commissions, or resell iland’s services.

There are no upfront costs to agents, managed service providers, or resellers involved in the iland channel partner program. For agents, iland handles the customer billing. It provides customer support and service level agreements for its agent and reseller partners. And it delivers sales training to agents, and technical and sales training to both managed service providers and resellers.

The company, in a statement it issued today, also talks about how it has tapped Koorosh Khashayar to head up its channel program. But according to his LinkedIn profile, Khashayar has been with iland since October.

Prior to joining iland, Khashayar founded and was the principal at Vertical Vox Consulting. He also was the MSP development manager at Unitrends, was the senior channel sales manager of StorageCraft Technology Corp., and managed channel sales at Acronis.

iland provides cloud backup services, disaster recovery as a service, and infrastructure as a service. It has locations in Amsterdam, Dallas, London, Los Angeles, Manchester, Reston, Singapore and Sydney.
