CareWatch Chooses Advanced as IT MSP

By Alicia Young

CareWatch Inc. has been dedicated to developing state-of-the-art technology for homecare agencies since 1998. Additionally, the company has also strived to provide great customer service that would help set it apart from the competition. Recently, CareWatch announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership to help it continue to meet these goals.

The company has chosen Advanced as its IT managed service provider (MSP) in order to help keep the company’s service users in contact with care workers. The company has been working with Advanced for five years now, and is clearly happy with the results it’s been seeing.  This latest partnership should take the pressure out of organizing scheduled visits for the company’s field workers.

Since coming together, Advanced has implemented a range of hosted solutions, including a hosted telephony system, which adhere to the support SLA, disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) and other infrastructure elements. The purpose of these solutions is to make sure that CareWatch’s systems are always online as part of its N+1 configuration.

According to Scott Christie, CEO at Carewatch, the implementation of these solutions by the MSP provider will save workers valuable time because they can focus on the needs of their service users, rather than on any technical issues or “red-tape” activities. They will no longer need to manage the relationships with other providers, and will be able to keep business running without needing IT departments to worry about managing applications.

“As the business has grown in size and reputation, we needed to ensure the vital services that Carewatch provide remain online, secure and available 24hrs seven days a week,"  Christie said. "We also wanted to use technology to unlock the potential of our workforce. For example, care workers will operate through the Advanced Hosting platform when logging on remotely to manage their visit schedules, via smart devices such as a tablet or phone.

As an added bonus, Advanced will also be setting up and managing CareWatch’s payroll management solution and document management solution. This will help CareWatch improve its transparency—something all companies should strive for—and also better collaboration and ensure compliance.

Advanced is excited about renewing this partnership with CareWatch, and is looking forward to offering the company even more benefits than before. Gordon Wilson, CEO at Advanced, feels especially determined to provide CareWatch with the best services possible due to the nature of the work, saying, “We strive to make a difference to our customers with our software solutions and services. It’s important that we can positively impact the lives of their customers, in this instance, to care workers providing mission critical services to vulnerable people living at home.”
