Zyxel's Nebula Ships to Distributed Organizations and MSPs

By Frank Griffin

Zyxel provides small to mid-size businesses with a complete portfolio of multi-service LTE, fiber and DSL broadband gateways, enterprise-class Ethernet switches, security and Wi-Fi equipment. The Nebula family of cloud managed networking solutions Zyxel just announced that it is, according to the company, ideally suited for distributed organizations, managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers that deploy and manage networks at multiple locations.

The Nebula family is going to provide cloud-managed networking with the Cloud-Managed 802.11ac, an outdoor wireless access point, and managed gigabit Ethernet switches that deliver zero touch deployment to lower the cost and management complexity for distributed organizations and MSPs.

The Zyxel Nebula Cloud Management architecture has real-time capabilities that allow IT administrators to manage and monitor their networks across all their locations from a single dashboard. This platform has been designed to centralize IT functions and eliminate the need to have highly trained IT staff at branch locations by using the Nebula management interface to manage the company's family of cloud managed access points and Gigabit PoE switches.

The zero-touch deployment feature of the dual-band Nebula Cloud Managed 11ac Access Points can configure themselves automatically after they have been installed and connect to the Nebula cloud so they can be deployed in remote locations without the need of IT professionals. The 11ac access points deliver fast speeds that are stable and reliable over wireless connections for maximum productivity with dynamic channel selection, load balancing and smart client steering.

The cloud-based management interface, which is managed from the Nebula cloud, provides site-wide configuration and monitoring on all ports, allowing multiple switches to be configured with a single click over the Web at the same time.

As a cloud managed networking solution, Nebula has been designed to bring the scalability and other benefits of the cloud to networks. Wired and wireless networking devices can be controlled from a single pane of glass and any device to simplify business infrastructure and offer easy to use, intuitive scalable management for networks of all sizes.

Zyxel also improved its partnership program along with this launch to increase partner profitability with its Freedom Program so value-added resellers and MSPs can sell its comprehensive family of enterprise-class networking products and solutions with more support. A two-tiered program called the Advocate and Ally come without any hidden costs or certifications, while providing free product webinars, free technical training, lifetime limited warranties on specific product lines, meet or beat competitor pricing, 24/7 technical support and more.

“Zyxel has shifted its focus away from products sales and towards becoming a networking ally to our customer and partners,” explained Matt Dargis, Vice President at Zyxel. “Becoming an ally to our partners means more than simply helping our partners succeed by providing them with the solutions they need to solve their customers' challenges. It also means that we need to be a vendor partner that also contributes to our customer's financial success.”
