NaviSite Debuts Unified Dashboard For Service Management and Analytics

By Laura Stotler

Cloud desktop and hosted services provider NaviSite has unveiled its Proximity enhanced customer portal. The new solution gives the company’s enterprise customers an intuitive way to view and manage the company’s broad range of cloud-enabled and managed services. NaviSite offers everything from cloud desktop and infrastructure solutions to hosting and application services.

Building on NaviSite’s mission to become a one-stop services shop for the enterprise and service providers, the new Proximity portal acts as an intuitive interface that helps customers easily manage services while also providing important analytics and insights on the entire customer environment. The portal enables customers to create personalized dashboards for easy service management along with an intuitive way to glean business intelligence and drive decision-making.

"Proximity is our anchor platform moving forward to bring together an integrated, customizable, single-pane of glass experience across the entire NaviSite portfolio," said Sumeet Sabharwal, general manager, NaviSite. "Our customers are increasingly seeking not only historical performance and service metrics but deeper intelligence and analytics that support critical business decisions. Proximity is a key enabler in our goal to lead the industry in transforming from a data-centric to an action-centric customer experience."

The portal unites NaviSite’s application services with the company’s hosted offerings as well as cloud desktop and infrastructure solutions. Customization features include the ability to tailor the dashboard to specific roles across the customer’s user base, along with anywhere access that is optimized for mobile usage. The dashboard also offers intelligent information about services and assets to help customers proactively protect their networks against issues. Proximity also features API access, enabling integration with customers’ core IT and OSS systems.

Costain is one of NaviSite’s customers that will be taking advantage of the new portal. Earlier this year, the company announced it was using NaviSite’s hybrid cloud hosting services to support a complex application rollout for one of its transportation customers.
