TelePacific Moves Deeper into MSP Market with DSCI Acquisition

By Oliver VanDervoort

TelePacific Communications is an established, dependable managed services and business communications solutions company over the last few years. Now the company is looking to expand its base. The firm has managed to forge a name in the SMB space in California, Nevada and Texas; and now, it is looking to grow in the enterprise businesses sector thanks to expanding its reach to a national scale.

In order to achieve national scale, the firm took steps to acquire DSCI, a Massachusetts based managed services provider (MSP). "Bringing DSCI's industry-leading technology and passion for serving customers into TelePacific makes incredible sense," Dick Jalkut, president and CEO of TelePacific said in a recent statement about the acquisition. "We've both worked to build sterling reputations for customer care and service, married to leading-edge technology that enables businesses to focus on growing their bottom lines instead of managing their infrastructures.” He added.

This particular takeover is one that seems to signal once and for all, TelePacific’s desire to be more than a regional player. By taking over DSCI, the firm is acquiring a major player in the MSP market. Bringing DSCI under its growing umbrella now means about 50 percent of TelePacific’s business will be as an MSP. It also now has a full set of products and solutions in this field, without having to actually develop those tools. The details of the takeover were not made public. It’s expected that DSCI’s employees will also be brought into the fold and combined with the TelePacific team.
