Pomeroy and Tolt Solutions Combine to Create Global MSP Pomeroy Group

By Laura Stotler

MSPs Pomeroy and Tolt Solutions have joined forces to create the Pomeroy Group of Companies, offering a variety of managed IT infrastructure services and solutions. The newly combined company will be known as Pomeroy Group and will retain more than 4,000 employees, hopefully bringing close to $1 billion in annual revenues.

Pomeroy was acquired by Clearlake Capital Group as part of the deal, which is also supporting the newly combined MSP. Tolt will operate as a standalone division within the broader Pomeroy Group and will continue to focus on managed retail IT services and support. The company has core expertise working with grocery, retail, convenience, food services and distributed enterprise customers.

“The trend for customers to outsource to a single scaled, consistent and reliable national services provider is accelerating,” said Keith Bradley, executive chairman of the Pomeroy Group. “This is driven by the increasing complexity of infrastructure technology solutions, and seamless management is critical to both day-to-day operations and the execution of strategic growth initiatives. We will continue to add capabilities organically and through acquisition to further enhance our value proposition to our customers and partners.”

The new company will retain Chris Froman as CEO as well as Jack Gularson, who will continue on as president and COO of the Tolt Solutions division.

Pomeroy has traditionally focused on providing optimized infrastructure solutions to global end users, networks and data centers. The company was previously held by Platinum Equity, which helped it streamline operations, improve earnings and revitalize its sales team. Under Platinum’s direction Pomeroy acquired OAO Technologies and Bluepoint Data as part of its growth and expansion over the last several years.
