Ruxit Managed Gives On-Premises Deployments Cloud Functionality

By Michael Guta

The launch of the new Ruxit Managed platform is going to service organizations that need their IT infrastructure to remain on premises by providing cloud like functionalities without violating regulatory compliances.

While most industries have to abide by some form of regulatory compliance, healthcare and finance must follow much stricter regulations. For organizations operating in these two segments and others like it, the migration to the cloud may not be possible in every instance, but they would still like the conveniences the technology provides for their organization.

As highlighted by Ruxit Founder and CTO Bernd Greifeneder on the company blog, “In building Ruxit Managed we wanted to do more than just provide a version of our software that can be installed on-premises or in a private cloud.”

The managed offering from Ruxit, a company that uses artificial intelligence technology to manage application performance, will give organizations that have to remain on-premises SaaS-like application performance management (APM) functionality that can be easily and quickly deployed along with the scalability to meet future growth.

According to the company, the goal for its Ruxit Managed platform is to achieve ideal performance levels and resolve IT related issues quickly by being able to monitor assets. It is making this possible by combining APM, website availability and performance monitoring, physical and virtual server monitoring, cloud metrics and cloud monitoring. And all this is available with fast release cycles and without operational overhead.

Greifender goes on to say, “There has never been an on-premises APM solution as easy to deploy and as technologically advanced as this. For firms in industries like healthcare, banking, insurance and finance which have stringent regulatory requirements in place requiring all data to be held on-premises, this offering gives them easy, lightning-fast installation and ongoing scalability that no other solution can provide.”

Since ensuring their data remains on premises and it is fully protected is extremely important for these organizations, the Ruxit Managed platform delivers on both points. First, no data leaves the data center or private cloud from the organization. Second, the platform is connected to a highly secure management layer with a dedicated support team available 24/7.

The monitoring is delivered through the company’s improved AI-based diagnostic capabilities along with experts from Dynatrace to address challenging application performance problems.

The company claims all of these features are available with an out-of-the-box automatic installation that can start delivering insights on how applications are performing in less than five minutes.

The growth of APM is expected to remain in double digits until 2018, this according to Research and Markets. The firm predicts the global application performance management software market will grow at a CAGR of 16 percent to 2018. Cloud technology is one of the biggest drivers of this growth, but with the solution Ruxit just introduced, it will now be available even for organizations with on-premises deployments.
