TriCore Solutions Acquires Group Basis to Offer Managed Services for Top ERP Solutions

By Laura Stotler

Two managed services experts are combining their forces to create joint managed offerings for SAP environments. TriCore Solutions, which specializes in application management, has acquired Group Basis, a provider of SAP managed services. Together, the companies will offer services geared toward helping customers reduce their costs while improving the performance and availability of their ERP environments.

In a time when efficiencies, costs savings and flexibility are driving technology and spending decisions, the combined services offer clear benefits to clients looking to maximize their ERP investments. Customers will benefit from better data insights to guide decision-making, as well as strategic consulting and implementation from two experienced teams.

"We are now able to offer and support the three market leaders of ERP solutions in addition to our services for business analytics, data warehousing and infrastructure services,” said Mark Clayman, President and COO at TriCore Solutions, of the Group Basis acquisition. “Together we will further increase the strategic value we bring to our customers while serving as a trusted adviser as customers focus on transforming their approach to IT to enable the growth of their businesses."

TriCore specializes in ERP application management along with business analytics and managed infrastructure services, all geared toward mid-sized and enterprise sized customers. An additional benefit of the acquisition will be the ability to offer managed services for Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft and SAP, the three top ERP solutions. Group Basis founder Wade Walla will be joining TriCore’s management team as part of the acquisition.

The buyout follows a July partnership announcement with Tableau Software, a specialist in easy-to-use business analytics software. The strategic alliance has helped TriCore provide customers with aggregated business data and simplified analysis, a great complement to their ERP management offerings.
