Dell Partners with CloudRunner on ITaaS Solution for MSPs

By Laura Stotler

In good news for MSPs, Dell has expanded its ITaaS portfolio by partnering with CloudRunner and rolling out its desktop-as-a-service solution. Available in North America, EMEA and APAC, the offering is designed to facilitate easy delivery of cloud services to SMBs.

Dell’s platform-based CloudRunner offering is geared toward MSPs, enabling them to easily offer cloud services without worrying about the underlying infrastructure. SMBs benefit from the value and quality of a host of cloud-based services that they may pay for on a consumption/usage basis. The platform has already gained traction among North American MSP customers in the healthcare, financial services and legal sectors.

"SMBs want easy-to-use technology they can consume and pay for through a predictable, pay-as-you-go monthly model,” said Darrin Swan, director of worldwide sales and business development, Dell Service Provider Program. “With CloudRunner, Dell partners achieve this goal by delivering a complete, turnkey platform that automates commodity IT services delivered in a click-together experience for SMB IT needs."

Features of CloudRunner include anywhere, anytime access to business apps via a Windows desktop or any device. Applications and data “follow” customers wherever they may go, and are also stored securely through Dell infrastructure.

MSPs benefit from a proven cloud services platform that they can quickly brand under their own service portfolio. They can also charge their customers on a pay-as-you-go basis, which is beneficial to both customers and service providers in terms of regular services billing.

Additional benefits include automated IT-as-a-service management and billing, reduction of staff needs and easy and fast scalability. CloudRunner also offers a library of line of business and productivity apps along with partner go-to-market and enablement content campaigns to make it easy for MSPs to quickly roll out their own branded offerings.

"The powerful combination of CloudRunner's platform and Dell's solutions enable Dell's MSP partner ecosystem to drive cloud solution adoption simply, efficiently and aggressively," said John P. Gorst, CEO of CloudRunner. "With more than 600 client server applications already running on our platform, MSPs can instantly deploy applications on virtual desktops on a mass scale, freeing up their customers to focus on their core business and leave IT management to the experts."
