Syntel Creates New Digital One Group

The global market place is adapting and evolving to new environments much quicker than any other time. This is based on digital technology that allows organizations to scale on demand with an always-on and ubiquitous system access no matter where the workforce is located. The maturation of cloud technology has lowered CAPEX and OPEX while at the same time improving flexibility. A company delivering these capabilities, Syntel, a global provider of digital transformation, information technology and knowledge process services, has announced the creation of a new internal group in its company called Digital One.

Syntel has more than 50 cloud projects and more than three decades of enterprise services leadership with customized cloud services that allows enterprise IT to provide digital solutions with a comprehensive cloud capability to address an organization's business needs. The new Digital One platform allows digital enterprises to transform through smart adoption of mobility, cloud, social, big data analytics and Internet of Things (IoT) technology.

Digital One will combine Syntel's enterprise systems experience with deep industry knowledge and next-generation technology to provide customized solutions to meet the needs of each individual company. This approach allows companies to transform to a digital enterprise so they can bring new products and services to market faster, and develop rich interactions with consumers that use many of the digital touch points. These businesses will run with a new delivery group call the Managed Services Organization (MSO).

The company said the solutions MSO provides include: application monitoring support, application restoration services, preventative maintenance services, root cause analysis and service desk and user support. It will be able to leverage industrialization, automation and cloud migration to introduce more efficiency with applications and infrastructure services through integrated delivery.

"Digital technologies are disrupting every industry, but the extent and scope of this impact is unique for every organization. Digital One takes a holistic approach that combines digital expertise with industry knowledge and enterprise systems experience to create business value for our clients. Organizations are driving new sources of value from existing technology investments and moving to 'as-a-service' models," said Nitin Rakesh, Syntel CEO and President.
