Bell Techlogix IT Outsourcing Solution for SFG Concludes Successfully

By Daniel Brecht

As a leading producer of premium meat products, Specialty Foods Group, Inc. was looking to consolidate several of its operations; it sought to partner with an IT service provider that could do just that quickly and efficiently, while meeting SFG's timeline and objectives.

SFG awarded Bell Techlogix the contract in December 2013. Soon after SFG signed the Statement of Work, Bell Techlogix began to transform the SFG’s IT Operations and “provide a full suite of outsourced services, including Service Desk, Desk side Support, Workstation Management, Remote Infrastructure Management, Data Center Operations, Enterprise Mobility Management, IT Asset Management, and full IT Lifecycle Services,” as a Digital Journal post revealed yesterday. The articles reported the successful completion and launch of a comprehensive IT Outsourcing solution for Specialty Foods Group (SFG).

The agreement involved duty-bound outsourced services from Bell Techlogix to deliver information technology solutions; it includes a rapid deployment delivery platform incorporating a new infrastructure that optimizes outsourced services and revamps SFG’s IT operations. Bell Techlogix’s responsibility is to establish a seamless transition of services with no incremental risk to the SFG business and to help SFG's IT support grow with the company, said Steven Bass, svp of sales for Bell Techlogix. A smooth transition and no risk were key requirements that SFG sought.

Bell Techlogix successfully launched a comprehensive IT outsourcing solution that went live last month (on March 11). This week marks the completion of the new infrastructure to provide a full suite of outsourced services and undertaking of SFG's revamped IT operations; the work lasted only three months, which transformed operations in a timely and organized manner, as anticipated, said Brian Brizendine, Director of information technology of Specialty Foods Group.
