LogMeIn Gets High Marks for Cloud Services

By Frank Griffin

The cloud computing environment is getting crowded with many players entering the field and providing services to a market that doesn't seem to stop growing. Trying to choose the best company for your organization can be difficult with so many choices. The Talkin' Cloud 100 annual list tracks the world's top 100 cloud services, providers, cloud aggregators, cloud brokers, cloud integrators, VARs and MSPs focused on cloud computing and cloud services. LogMeIn was ranked at number 17, recognized for a new channel program focused on cloud services and many of the other cloud services it offers.

The report is conducted with an online survey between January through May 2013 by Nine Lives Media, which is the go-to resource for CSPs, VARs and MSPs profiting from cloud computing. The survey gathers data of top service providers based on different metrics including annual cloud services revenue growth in actual dollars and in percentage growth rates. The top service providers in this year's survey generated more than $15.7 billion in combined cloud services revenue in 2012.

"We are honored to be named a top 100 Cloud Service Provider, and as one of Boston's biggest cloud software companies, we're thrilled to represent the city and region on a list of the ‘Who's Who’ of cloud services software. We believe the IT services market, as well as innovation centers like Boston, are poised to benefit from the transformative nature of the cloud," said Michael Ewing, LogMeIn's CMO.

LogMeIn is one of the largest cloud service providers in Massachusetts continually recognized for introducing innovative solutions for organizations looking for the best available technology to make them more efficient in their overall operations. The recognition by the survey comes after the launch of LogMeIn Elevate, a new channel program designed to help MSPs, VARs and other IT service providers to recognize the environment of cloud-based apps and employee-introduced technology. The platform allows organizations to manage many of the devices introduced into the workplace and the cloud-based applications and data they use.

The top 20 providers ranked by the survey include:

1)            Salesforce.com (San Francisco, CA)

2)            Amazon (Seattle, WA)

3)            Microsoft (Redmond, WA)

4)            Oracle (Redwood City, CA)

5)            Google (Mountain View, CA)
