PEER 1 Hosting Teams Up with Dell to Offer Managed Services in Canada

By Erin Harrison

As the newest addition to Dell’s public cloud partner program, Web hosting provider PEER 1 Hosting has teamed up with the PC maker to provide cloud services in Canada. PEER 1 Hosting will help Dell provide its customers with additional cloud capabilities and managed services.

Dell’s public cloud model underscores “choice combined with cohesive management,” according to Jeremy Ford, executive director, Cloud Services, Infrastructure and Cloud Computing at Dell.

“Our customers are asking for cloud solutions to meet their business and technology needs from providers who are focused and responsive,” Ford said in a statement. “Dell’s public cloud model stresses choice combined with cohesive management. PEER 1 Hosting delivers a leading cloud offering to the Canadian market, and their dedication and service to their customers brings added value to our Cloud Partner Program.”

Customers can purchase products from PEER 1 Hosting through their Dell sales representative.

PEER 1 offers managed hosting featuring Dell PowerEdge servers, public and private cloud (powered by VMware), dedicated hosting, colocation and network services. PEER 1 has19 data centers around the world and a high performance 10Gbps FastFiber Network.

“PEER 1 Hosting is pleased to be a part of this strategic alliance with Dell,” said Michael Mayer, global channel director of PEER 1 Hosting. “We have enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Dell for hardware and software solutions, and we believe that, together, we can offer our customers unparalleled service in Canada. Canada is one of our fastest growing regions in the world when it comes hosting, and we are confident that our combined sales teams can help customers recognize the true potential of cloud computing.”

In May, Dell launched the Dell Cloud Partner Program to deliver public cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) through an ecosystem of partners.
