Elephant Talk and Axiom Forge Middle East Pact

By Oliver VanDervoort

Elephant Talk Communications has made several moves over the last few months that have made it a real player in the proprietary mobile Software Defined Network Architecture market. The company started this shift in its plan with the hiring of new members of its top team and has followed that up with moves that have put it in several new markets around the globe. The latest move is an agreement with Axiom Telecom LLC that will see the companies working together to provide mobile managed services in the Middle East.

Axiom has long been an established presence in the Middle East market and this agreement will allow the company to expand what it can offer to its clients in that area. Steven van der Velden, CEO of Elephant Talk Communications, recently issued a statement about the agreement in which he said, "The Middle East markets now are open for new entrants like Axiom to offer mobile services. Time to market and a full set of innovative services are key to capture sizable market shares in this region. I'm very happy that Axiom has recognized the possibilities of Elephant Talk's Software DNA™ platform. Local presence is crucial when it comes to successfully making use of the changing market and our common goal to build a long-lasting partnership will create important revenue streams for both companies.”

Faisal Al Bannai, CEO and founder of Axiom Telecom, echoed the positive comments, saying that the Elephant Talk is one of the key enablers of MVNO strategy in the region. Being able to deal in these markets is important to Axiom’s overall strategy, according to Mr. Al Bannai. Both companies believe that they are going to be able to make big strides in future technology that will drive the MVNO and Software DNA solutions to the top of their prospective markets around the world.
