du Launches Business Cloud Service with Encloud

Established in 2006 du is one of the largest telecom companies in the UAE, providing mobile and fixed telephony, broadband connectivity and IPTV services for businesses, homes and individuals. The company is introducing Business Cloud Service, an expansion of its managed services portfolio in partnership with Encloud. This enterprise solution will give customers access to flexible cloud services for infrastructure platform and software for a broad range of applications.

The du business cloud platform will offer small to medium enterprises as well as large enterprise customers cloud building blocks to support many different market segments. The partnership with Encloud also includes collaborations with Cisco, Citrix and EMC to offer customers in the region the best companies in this field in the world.

Encloud is an IT system integrator and managed services provider focusing on cloud computing services based in Dubai covering the Middle East market. It will give du business cloud the ability to offer flexible packages for virtual servers, virtual storage and backup with bundled bandwidth. Customers will have the option of subscribing to private and community cloud, virtual desktop and additional services the company provides and will offer as they become available in the future.

"Managed services provide companies with the opportunity to employ a full suite of IT services to suit their business needs, without having to directly employ professionals within their company. The launch of du Business Cloud Platform services brings further value to our managed services suite, giving our enterprise customers the freedom to focus on their core business while we take care of the rest," said Hatem Bamatraf, executive vice president enterprise of du.

Data center usage is going to increase many folds as cloud services continues to surge in order to provide personal and business content applications with anytime, anywhere and on any device access. The collaboration with Cisco brings to the table a global leader in data center hardware and management to ensure du will be able to handle capacity as more businesses and individuals use more of this technology.

Citrix will be providing its Cloudplatform and CloudPortal, one of the most open cloud management technology in the market today backed by an Apache open source community. The virtualization of this new business model is going to be managed by EMC with an infrastructure capable of extending scalability, agility and efficiency of the business cloud solultion du will be offering.
