Canon Business Process Services Chosen by Top Law Firms

By Frank Griffin

Although digitizing the volumes of information generated in legal cases has introduced a new level of efficiency for law firms, it comes with the burden of properly managing this data. If the right system is not implemented, the information attorneys search for in their system will be very difficult to find. Additionally, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as well as other rules and regulations demand that law firms be compliant. Business process services provide many of the solutions law firms need to integrate the latest digital technology while addressing all the necessary requirements and compliance required by law.

Canon Business Process Services announced that it provides managed services and technology for some of the top law firms in the country. According to the Am Law 100, which is published annually by ALM media properties, Canon services 32 of the firms on the list. Amongst the 32 firms are four of the top 10 firms and eight of the top 20 firms. The ranking on the list is based on gross revenue for top law firms in the United States.

Canon is recognized as a global leader of managed services and technology, which provides organizations with operational efficiency by taking over records management, printing, mail, imaging, BPO, and eDiscovery. By outsourcing these services these top law firms experience improved operational efficiencies while reducing risks and costs. This allows these organizations to focus on their core competencies, allowing them to provide better service for their clients.

The company's business process management service provides a flexible delivery location model and cloud-based technologies combining analysis, skilled transitions, and expert management of document and data driven processes. This means that an organization can achieve quality output that is consistent with improved accuracy for all the data that is being managed by Canon.

"Legal organizations are focused on containing costs, increasing operational productivity and managing discovery so they can implement strategies that win cases,” said Elizabeth Halaki, chief marketing officer and R&D, Canon Business Process Services. “By leveraging our document management and eDiscovery solutions, our Am Law 100 clients can meet these goals, deliver top-quality service and continue to thrive in the months ahead.”
