Asnet Technologies Becomes the Newest Member of Global Presence Alliance

By Frank Griffin

The Global Presence Alliance (GPA) is made up of industry leaders in the audio visual, video conferencing and managed services spaces around the world. The goal of the organization is to increase efficiency by standardizing technology platforms and improve communications for its global clients. It gives its clients a single global source for designing, engineering, integrating and continuing support of existing and new technology systems.

The latest addition to GPA is Asnet Technologies, an industry leader in integrated AV and Video Collaboration-as-a-Service (VCaas) in New Zealand.

Established in 1999, Asnet has grown into one of the biggest suppliers of standard-based cloud video collaboration services in New Zealand. It provides video conferencing, unified communications, cloud, managed services, telepresence and fully integrated boardroom solutions. As part of GPA, it will serve as the principal partner in the region for the organization. The high level of vendor partnership and working relationships with international manufacturers of AV, IT and VC equipment such as Polycom, Avaya and AMX made it a good candidate for the alliance.

“We are very pleased to have Asnet Technologies join the GPA. This further solidifies our strong foothold on the AV/IT market on a global basis. We are currently the largest AV alliance, and the only one with such high quality partners, including our newest member in New Zealand,” said Julian Philips, one of the founding members of the alliance.

The alliance has a strong presence around the world with partnerships in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and the Asia Pacific (APAC). It provides solutions for clients in different industries for public and private organizations including enterprises, governments and higher education institutions.

“The GPA is a great mechanism for delivering global solutions to clients, and we are excited to extend its reach into New Zealand. Our client base is already excited about the expansive capabilities we can now offer them for multi-national support. We look forward to being a part of the continued success of this unique alliance,” added Eric Greenop, managing director for Asnet Technologies.
