TSR Solutions Teams Up with Egenera for Cloud Management Platform

By Erin Harrison

Managing the cloud can be a tricky endeavor – which is why data center and cloud service provider TSR Solutions recently chose Egenera for its cloud management platform. This relationship is the sign of the bigger trend of managed service providers (MSPs) going through transition as more companies move to the cloud.

TSR Solutions – which offers a range of cloud and managed services to organizations ranging from Fortune 100 to SMBs companies – needed a scalable cloud management solution that could turn their cloud design, deployment and quoting process into a simple drag and drop exercise, according to Chip Krebs, director of Data Center Services at TSR Solutions.

“We see the cloud as the computing platform for the next 25 years and we needed a technology partner to help position our company for that future,” Krebs said in a statement. “As a company, our focus has always been on security, reliability and personal attention. Those values are what set us apart in the market. With Egenera, we have the capability to carry those same characteristics into our cloud services.”

TSR Solutions said that Egenera’s PAN Cloud Director offers several benefits, including:

  • Usability for customers looking to speed their transition to the cloud
  • Simplicityin managing TSR Solution’s IaaS, PaaS, DRaaS and Backup-as- a-Service offerings
  • Broad Infrastructure Support allows TSR Solutions to remain hardware and hypervisor agnostic
  • Real-Time Pricing Engine–helps TSR Solutions to manage margins on its cloud business
  • Customizable Interface– allows TSR Solutions to custom brand the cloud portal

“TSR Solutions has long been a trusted advisor to its customers. The company’s sole focus is providing best-of-breed solutions hosted on bulletproof infrastructure,” said Dan Busby, VP of Product Management at Egenera. “With PAN Cloud Director’s unique capabilities, TSR Solutions can bring their customers into the cloud with the right mix of control, customization and simplicity of operations.”

Earlier this year, Egenera joined EMC’s Technology Partner Program. Egenera has been able to expand its capabilities offered to customers by leveraging EMC’s unified storage solutions which are optimized for application virtualization and utilize flash technology with EMC’s FAST Suite, helping customers lower total cost of ownership.
