Attunity's Managed File Transfer and KOM Networks' KOMpliance Unite to Provide Multiple Secure File Transfer Solutions

By Michael Guta

If an individual or an organization wants to store digital content, there are many options when it comes to choosing a provider. But not all companies are created equal, nor do they have to abide by all the compliance and regulatory requirements.

If you have sensitive information, you have to ensure the company you select meets the security parameters your information demands. Attunity and KOM Networks are two organizations that specialize in the secure management and transfer of information, while abiding with strict compliance and regulatory requirements.

The partnership between the two companies will give businesses multiple solutions that are easy to use concerning their data.

The partnership will integrate Attunity’s Managed File Transfer (MFT) and KOM Networks’ KOMpliance solutions for effective and secure data management. The merging of organizations with different talents regarding digital safety and transfer is the result of the massive amount of data being created today.

Files are increasingly being created in rich-media through mobile devices and financial transactions, and e-mails and other data are under greater scrutiny for compliance regarding the amount of time they must be retained. Combine this with the security threat of cybercriminals that want to access the information, and the scope of the task is often more than one organization can accomplish with reliable expertise.

While it is possible to keep this type of data in-house, the expense associated with storage, protection and other IT-related issues can be too much for many organizations. The new service will have an integrated transfer and universal Written Once Read Many (WORM) storage facility.

The Attunity MFT part of the solution provides the tools to inspect, scan and route the data so it can be transferred from external networks and internal environments in a controlled and audited manner.

KOMpliance, on the other hand, will bring its reliable enterprise-level regulatory-compliant network storage appliance.

The combination of both solutions will give businesses of all sizes an affordable solution for transferring, protecting, retaining and accessing their data easily while meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements.

“Combining our proven vendor-neutral tamperproof storage solutions with Attunity’s file transfer technology enables us to ensure that critical data is fully archived, audited and protected 100 percent of the time – starting with the transfer process and remaining so through retention and final disposition. This enables enterprises and small to medium-sized businesses to meet their most stringent regulatory and corporate requirements. Customers will also appreciate the out-of-the-box functionality and easy implementation our joint solution will offer,” said Kamel Shaath, CTO at KOM Networks.

“Security, automation and archiving are major concerns for our respective customers. In addition to traditional file transfer needs, customers continue to express a need to use Attunity MFT as a gateway to archiving. By integrating our technology with KOM Networks, we are addressing these needs so that organizations will now be able to tap into multiple file sources with Attunity MFT and then push data packages into KOMpliance in a single, fully-managed effort,” said Garrick Herrmann, VP Sales at Attunity.
