Email2 SCP Solutions Integrates with Parallels Automation for More Secure E-Mail Practices

By Michael Guta

Security is one of the biggest concerns for individuals and businesses using digital technology. When it comes to e-mail, even technology savvy executives only use a username and password as a security measure to protect their account. This has resulted in countless breaches, highlighted with the hacking of the personal e-mails of former Presidential nominee Mitt Romney and Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

While those accounts were personal, even some very large businesses don’t take adequate measures to protect their e-mail accounts. The collaboration of Email2 SCP Solutions, Inc. and Parallels Automation will provide a secure file exchange system for enterprise and SMB customers.

Email2 announced the release of its Application Package Standard (APS) integration with Parallels Automation to provide a system that is compatible with solutions both companies provide. Email2’s Secure Messaging Platform services in the cloud will be able to integrate the provisioning and billing system of Parallels Automation.

Today’s e-mails come with many attachments that include rich multimedia content in the form of video presentations and images, as well as documents and spreadsheets. Large files strain network resources and are bounced or quarantined because of the limitation placed by organizations.

If these messages are not protected with the right security protocol, they can be vulnerable.

The Secure Messaging platform from Email2 provides the tools to manage very large file attachments without straining network resources, while at the same time protecting the content.

“Email security and confidentiality are just as important to SMBs as they are to large enterprises. Service providers need to be able to offer encrypted email and file transfer services that can be white-labeled, easy to sell, deploy and use. Email2’s platform addresses these needs and we welcome them to the APS ecosystem,” said John Zanni, Parallels vice president of Service Provider Marketing and Alliances.

The cloud-based service gives the client an enterprise-grade solution which enables the user to send, track and receive secure e-mail and attachments. The service can be used on any device and is accessible anytime or anywhere without any hardware or software installation.

The API integration with existing infrastructure makes it a platform that can easily be applied by hosted e-mail providers, system integrators and managed service providers.

Parallels Automation’s experience in cloud services automation will give Email2 access to more resources and technology in addressing the SMB sector.

“Parallels dominates the cloud services automation market for service providers worldwide in the SMB space because they understand the basic premise of enabling their partners to offer mission-critical services at profitable price points. We are excited to join the Parallels partner ecosystem as an APS-enabled technology partner,” said Email2 VP Corporate & Business Development, Cameron Burke.
