Microsoft has been pushing to increase growth for its Teams Voice offering, which provides a way for modern office environments to transition to cloud-based phone systems they can use from anywhere.
Businesses everywhere are realizing that cloud telephony benefits expand beyond just cost savings and can also provide productivity boosts as well as increase their hiring capabilities - and more. Cloud communications platforms are integral to supporting new workforce models and enable workers to communicate effectively from anywhere.
In light of this move to scale up adoption of Teams for voice, Pure IP has announced a new eVoc2 partner program, which will help U.S.-based Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and telcos offer their customers business telephony services with Microsoft Teams using Operator Connect.
The new Pure IP eVoc2 program will be offered in two models – one for Telcos with existing billing and delivery infrastructure and another for MSPs. They’ll have access to Pure IP's resilient cloud-based global voice network, and online automated tools so they can quickly and easily provision and order as well as access a suite of support services.
Using Operator Connect to deliver voice services in Teams, it is possible to combine third-party carrier services with the simplicity of managing services via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
"We are excited to work with Microsoft on this latest initiative and believe that our eVoc2 program offers service providers a cost-effective method of retaining and growing their business by helping their customers optimize the benefits of cloud telephony,” said Gary Forrest, CEO at Pure IP.
The eVoc2 leverages automation for speed and efficiency, but Pure IP is adamant that automation tools must be supported by human intelligence.
“It is important to back [automation] up with knowledgeable people to support our partners and their customers,” added Forrest. “We pride ourselves on not being a faceless organization,”
The end goal is to create a quick and easy path for Pure IP partners to roll out Teams Voice services to support their customers’ cloud communications needs and ensure they have the tools to collaborate effectively in the modern workplace.
