MSP360 Integrates Predictive Cybersecurity

MSP360 Integrates Predictive Cybersecurity

By Greg Tavarez

Internet users worldwide saw around 52 million data breaches during Q2 2022, according to Statista. The alarmingly high number of data breaches is what prompts backup solution provider MSP360 to take the necessary steps to help its MSP and IT clients — which many use public cloud storage providers — against security threats to their data.

Already assisting with backup immutability, two-factor authentication, protection from endpoint users and IP allowlisting, MSP360 took security measures a step further and fully integrated with Deep Instinct to implement a deep learning cybersecurity framework.

"Our goal has always been to provide best-in-class solutions for our customers," said MSP360 CEO Brian Helwig. “Our partnership with Deep Instinct addresses many of their fears by not only preventing but also predicting many of the threats they're facing today."

Deep Instinct is a prevention-first cybersecurity solution developed to stop more advanced malware attacks, including ransomware, zero-day exploits and fileless malware, using a deep-learning cybersecurity framework. By taking in data and working autonomously, Deep Instinct's deep learning framework teaches itself to predict, detect and prevent threats, unlike more basic machine learning-based tools.

Antivirus, EDR and XDR solutions are often too slow to detect ransomware before it encrypts data, and they do not protect against many unknown and zero-day threats. With the Deep Instinct integration, MSP360 customers will prevent unknown threats with greater accuracy, ensuring that no type of threat ever executes in their environment.

"MSPs are the number one targeted vertical industry for ransomware and combining Deep Instinct with MSP360's robust backup architecture will deliver the highest efficacy for preventing a ransomware attack," said Joe Santamorena, assistant vice president of Global MSSP Programs for Deep Instinct.

Access to the Deep Instinct platform is done with a click of a button through MSP360 Managed Backup or MSP360 Remote Monitoring and Management.
