CentrexIT Improves Business Operations with Private Cloud Offering

By Greg Tavarez

Private clouds are ideal for companies wanting to maintain more control over where their data resides. Why? Private clouds, housed in highly secure data centers, are physically accessible as needed. They also offer a reduced cost for systems that do not require the elasticity of the public cloud.

CentrexIT, an IT services provider, upgraded its cloudIT offerings with Private Cloud, powered by HPE GreenLake and Cisco. HPE GreenLake is a secure, flexible and manageable edge-to-cloud data solution infrastructure that supports strategic workloads and drives new business growth. Cisco provides the backbone.

Private Cloud provides clients improved business operations with 99.99% uptime, priority procurement for hardware with supply chain issues and instant capacity scalability. The service also features 10 times faster processing speeds, 10 times more networking capacity and over a petabyte of processing power and storage availability, potentially delivering greater business outputs.

The cloudIT Private Cloud offers enhancements that enable operational improvements to performance, including security features that are important in the cybersecurity landscape. It utilizes the HPE security-by-design approach to protect data from edge to cloud and regularly checks the integrity of systems and hardware.

“We chose HPE GreenLake because it allows us to scale at the rate needed to meet growing demand, along with a slew of new security capabilities that are built into the core of the offering,” said Dylan Natter, CEO of centrexIT.

Additionally, disaster recovery add-ons meet the needs of demanding data protection requirements with near-instant recovery capabilities. Production and backup storage data are also encrypted to protect information in the event of a security breach or attack.

Natter said because they are committed to clients’ success, the cloudIT Private Cloud is offered to centrexIT’s managed service clients at a cost lower than equivalent high-performance public cloud services. The upgrade also expands the service and performance options for cloudIT Hybrid Cloud.
