Cymulate Gives Advanced Analytics with Platform Expansion

By Greg Tavarez

Businesses are having a hard time managing attack surfaces and validating security controls – even after they have experienced an event. According to a survey by Cymulate, two-thirds of companies that were hit by cybercrime in the past year were hit more than once with almost 10% experiencing 10 or more attacks a year.

To improve risk visibility and deliver actionable insights for reducing remediation time, Cymulate announced the expansion of its Extended Security Posture Management, XSPM, Platform to include advanced insights and analytics capabilities.

With the expansion, businesses also gain enhanced levels of granularity for setting and tracking cybersecurity performance metrics and KPIs, which are required for improving cyber resilience.

"Our new analytics layer provides critical data for prioritizing mitigations and fine-tuning configurations for closing security gaps,” said Avihai Ben-Yossef, chief technology officer and co-founder of Cymulate. “This prioritization is key for effectiveness in times of skills shortage.”

Cymulate's platform provides customers with an efficient way to validate their cybersecurity posture continuously and on-demand. Customers benefit from Cymulate Security Posture Management Analytics capabilities with the ability to normalize, aggregate and analyze data across the platform's automated cyberattacks functionality.

The solution combines attack surface management, automated red-teaming, breach and attack simulation, automated security validation and vulnerability prioritization, providing a clear view of the business's security posture.

With Cymulate, managing security posture is done in three steps:

  • Simulate attacks end-to-end: Launch attacks across the MITRE ATT&CK framework with the flexibility to run end-to-end red team campaigns or deep dive on a specific attack vector or technique with a comprehensive set of attacks
  • Gain immediate visibility: Know the organization’s current exposure, attackable vulnerabilities and security gaps. Measure and track security performance with a risk-score based on proven methodologies, including NIST, CVSS V3 and Microsoft DREAD.
  • Remediate with actionable insights: Optimize the company’s security posture with clear, prescriptive guidance. Prioritize resources and budget based on end-to-end visibility to exposures and risk.

The XSPM Platform will allow organizations to get results fast, deploy attack simulations within minutes and confront the dynamic threat landscape.
