In major news for managed service providers (MSPs), ConnectWise has announced the latest version of its PSA software. ConnectWise 2013.1 provides service management for MSPs, VARs and ISVs, and the new version offers enhanced features as well as upgraded design and improved usability.
The company also announced it will be moving to a rolling release cycle in which software enhancements and updates are delivered every four to six weeks. This is meant to give ConnectWise partners quicker access to enhanced features as well as fixes.
Among the changes in ConnectWise 2013.1 is a new user interface that is browser agnostic. This means partners may run the browser version of the software in any browser, on any operating system, with cross-browser functionality as well as tab-enabled browsing. This lets users toggle among tasks and promotes multi-tasking.
Mobile optimization has also been included, letting ConnectWise partners use the software on a mobile device, anytime and from anywhere. The mobile interface has also been modified for better ease of use on tablets and other small devices.
Additional new features include an improved list view through which users may quickly identify the number of records and then customize the list of activities and tickets. This includes modifying views, saving columns and dragging and dropping or right clicking to change values like status and priority. ConnectWise has also integrated with Great Plains accounting software, enabling fast and efficient connectivity without users spending time transferring CRM and financial data between the software packages.
"Innovation is at the core of everything we do, and one way that we uphold this commitment is by constantly advancing and enhancing our software based on our partners' changing needs," said Arnie Bellini, ConnectWise CEO. "We want to ensure that partners receive the most innovative and most stable release possible, and version 2013.1 is a prime example of that. From making it easier to work on mobile devices to simplified tab-enabled navigation, version 2013.1 supports our mission of providing a best-in-class platform that enables the growth and success of our partners and their clients."
ConnectWise enables MSPs like Inbay to stay on top of the entire cycle of service delivery. The company recently announced enhanced NOC Services, including two-way ticket integration through support from ConnectWise. Coverage areas include help desk and service management; sales, marketing and account management; finance and project management; and procurement and inventory reporting.
