In an effort to support the burgeoning managed service provider (MSP) channel, endpoint security provider ESET has announced its ESET business security solutions for MSPs. The new offering enables updates of seat counts on a daily basis as well as flexible monthly billing.
ESET's new program is geared toward MSPs and VARs and offers a single console, the ESET Remote Administrator, for management of tens of thousands of endpoints. The MSP offering is designed to strengthen the company's relationship with its partners as well as enable new business segments.
There has already been significant uptake of the program by MSPs in the U.S., where it was initially launched in 2010. ESET had about 1,000 MSPs participating as of this February, with more than 250,000 total endpoint seats. The new business security offering will let MSPs and VARs safely deliver a variety of network-based IT services, applications and equipment. It features ESET Endpoint Security and ESET Endpoint Antivirus, which are powered by the company's NOD32 technology.
MSPs and VARs are rewarded for taking part in the program through decreased licensing costs as their business volume increases. They may also use the ESET Remote Administrator to support managed services while remaining agnostic in terms of their remote monitoring and management (RMM) solutions. Administrators may remotely access and control antivirus implementations via a single console through the solution, regardless of their vendor or hardware configurations.
"The program is focused on a growing segment of companies covering their day-to-day IT needs by outsourcing them via managed service providers (MSPs)," said Juraj Vanko, global product marketing manager at ESET. "In comparison to resellers, MSPs offer and sell a service, not just a product. With ESET, MSP is now able to implement ESET business security products to his clients' networks and manage their security from one central point - via ESET Remote Administrator."
"At ESET, we created a pricing and management model for MSPs that is tailored to our partners’ needs," added Ignacio Sbampato, chief sales and marketing officer at ESET. "It allows us to provide our partners and resellers flexible options while continuing to offer the best endpoint security protection."
