Logicalis Aims to Mentor MSPs with New M.E.E.T. Program

By Doug Barney

MSPs may be experts in their specific niche or vertical, but they can’t be expected to know everything.

That could be where Logicalis comes in with its MSP Expert Extension Team (M.E.E.T.) program, “a service designed by Logicalis US to allow small to mid-sized MSPs access to the expertise, technology and marketing opportunities they need to expand their businesses and improve profitability and cash flow,” the company said.

Logicalis could have a lot to offer. The company has size, with its $1.4 billion in revenue, almost 3,500 employees, and some 6,000 customers. The company also has a major foothold in managed services, and already has partnerships with technology vendors such as CA, Cisco, IBM, HP, NetApp and VMware.

Its current managed services are based on ITIL-compliant tools, and include security, change management, vendor management, patch management and problem management. Specific offerings include service desk, as well as remote management services that include backup and recovery, database, network support, server/operating system management, unified communications, and virtual user.

The new M.E.E.T. program is aimed at helping smaller MSPs go after the SMB market. “Logicalis is a global MSP with an extensive array of service offerings and an established partnership with leading industry vendors and distributors,” noted Julie Spiller, director of IBM sales for Logicalis. “As such, we have the ability to extend our partnerships and our success as a large, global MSP to small to midsized MSPs that need help scaling their businesses to meet growing demand for managed services in the market today. Through Logicalis’ new MSP Expert Extension Team program, we are offering full and complete access to all of Logicalis’ MSP services and relationships to our registered M.E.E.T. partners. This access, combined with unprecedented levels of communication and trust, give our M.E.E.T. partners the tools they need to succeed as their businesses gain momentum.”

In announcing the new program, Logicalis offered up five ways M.E.E.T. can benefit MSPs:

The company believes new partners can leverage the technology partnerships Logicalis has already established;

Logicalis says it can help MSP become more profitable and improve their cash flow “by giving them direct access to premium financing programs, usage-based technology resources programs, and “try before you buy” capabilities that they can offer to their own clients;

Logicalis can give new partners access to a broader range of technologies and help jumpstart new businesses in the areas of storage as a service, capacity on demand, and disaster recovery as a service;

Logicalis claims it can help partners “gain access to the industry’s best service management tools and Logicalis’ entire international service delivery organization as part of the program, allowing MSPs to quickly scale their own offerings to meet increasing customer demand on the fly”;

Partners can get training and marketing help.

Logicalis is a frequent subject for MSP Today authors. Late last month the company advised IT pros to upgrade their storage infrastructure to meet the growing demands of data and maintain the integrity of their business operations.

And last year the company had some advice for IT looking at cloud services, including asking tough questions about security and scalability.
