Cosentry Manages Cloud Platform and Infrastructure for Export Documentation Company

Managed service providers (MSPs) have the flexibility to be able to help their customers on a broad range of issues, and to the extent their customers demand. Exits, Inc., a company specializing in complex export trade and transportation documentation, is a perfect example of this, using managed IT services to augment the company’s internal IT resources.

Exits works with MSP Cosentry to keep the IT costs for managing and operating their web-based platform affordable. By contracting with a service provider, the company is able to pass along IT savings to its own customers in the form of affordable export documentation. Exits also offers advisory and compliance software specifically geared toward the needs of the international business community.

Cosentry helps the Exits internal IT team by supporting and managing business-critical applications related to the company’s web-based platform. The platform is tasked with ensuring export companies meet the compliance mandates and processes needed to generate international customs forms and comply with rigorous trade requirements. Ensuring the platform is operating smoothly and up to date is vital to keeping customers happy and avoiding delays and other problems with their international deliveries. By contracting with Cosentry to handle this important function, the Exits IT team is able to focus on the company’s Global Wizard software suite, ensuring the customer-facing solution is up to data and running optimally.

"In the beginning, it was important for us to have a partner who could help us fill any of our knowledge gaps,” said Heather Noggle, CIO of Exits. “Over time, as our skills have increased, it's been important to have a partner with an entire team of dedicated IT specialists, that can help us proactively address business challenges."

Cosentry manages the Exits’ platform and infrastructure including a private cloud and a full stack of Microsoft (News - Alert) solutions and database. The MSP also stays on top of security and data backup while helping with overall business and IT planning as well as database tuning and service switchovers.

"Managed cloud services have proven to reduce IT infrastructure, personnel and software/hardware maintenance and renewal costs," said Brad Hokamp (News - Alert), CEO of Cosentry. "We are proud to witness the positive business effects our managed services have on helping Exits cost-effectively grow their business while maintaining a high level of service with limited IT staffing."
