NTT (News - Alert) Communications Corporations has been making significant moves lately, the latest of which being the unveiling of dramatic enhancements to its innovative cloud solution, Enterprise Cloud. The newly enhanced version of Enterprise Cloud is being made immediately available in Japan first, with roll outs in the U.K., Singapore, U.S., Australia, Hong Kong and Germany to come later this year.
This news comes shortly after NTT Com made a major play in the managed service provider (MSP) space with the acquisition of Atlas Information Technology. The acquired company will become part of NTT Com as of April 1, helping the NTT Group subsidiary to build out its managed network, infrastructure and application services.

NTT Com launched the enhanced Enterprise Cloud in order to help enterprises meet the complex requirements of digital transformation, defined as the application of digital technology across multiple aspects of a business in pursuit of creativity, faster growth and market leadership. With this update to Enterprise Cloud, NTT Com hopes to address the needs of businesses in regards to migrating traditional ICT to the cloud and shifting to a DevOps culture that supports rapid innovation.
To accomplish this, the enhanced Enterprise Cloud provides a comprehensive platform for both traditional and cloud-native ICT, as well as network connectivity, colocation service and third-party cloud. Specific new and enhanced capabilities to the platform include:
- Hosted private cloud for traditional ICT
- Enterprise-class multi-tenant cloud for cloud-native ICT
- A seamless hybrid cloud environment
- Free and seamless connection between cloud platforms
- A Cloud management platform (CMP) for full visibility and IT governance
Going forward, NTT Com will continue to enhance its capabilities with features like SDx-enabled unification of cloud, world-class data centers and global network assets.
