January 18, 2012 Releases Enterprise Content Management Platform in Cloud (News - Alert), a provider of Web technologies, is now offering an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform in the cloud., the cloud-based offering, is in private beta. It meets the ad-hoc, short term and permanent collaboration and content management needs. The solution allows customers to expand their storage without the need to integrate with disparate and external ECM solutions.

By launching the content in, customers get access to it from anywhere, on any device, including desktop PC, tablet or smartphones. The uniqueness of’ content management platform is that it includes integrated workflow, version control and desktop software integration to applications like Microsoft Office, IBM (News - Alert) Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Outlook/Exchange.

Most cloud solutions available in the market are limited in scope. DOCOVA, on the other hand, scales to meet their needs, Ryan added. “With DOCOVA in the cloud, organizations now have access to a complete ECM solution in a fraction of the time to deploy several other on-premise solutions and our pricing model brings enterprise-class content management to the mass market.”

Developers can create custom, integrated applications in the cloud with DOCOVA's Web Application Framework. will be charged on a per-user basis. The solution was announced at Lotusphere. During the event, the company also announced their mobile connect platform, Notes2Net, offline capabilities, the latest updates to the IBM Lotus Domino Document Manager (Domino.doc) Migration Module and a technical preview of DOCOVA 3.5. 

IBM Lotusphere is being held at Orlando, Florida. At Lotusphere, Polycom (News - Alert), a leading unified communications provider, announced several key initiatives that further its social business strategy, including strong customer momentum with IBM and strategic product updates, such as native integration of Polycom RealPresence video solutions with the most recent version of IBM Sametime.
