NTT DATA Global Solutions Improves SOC with Adoption of Stellar Cyber Open XDR

Organizations need to ask themselves: When it comes to cybersecurity, are there too many individual tools? Too few? Not enough people? Not the right data? If the answer is ‘Yes’ to any these, then Open XDR is the go-to solution.

The reason is this: Open XDR solutions aggregate and analyze data from various security tools, such as endpoint detection and response, network traffic analysis and security information and event management, to provide a centralized platform for threat detection, investigation and response. This integrated approach allows security teams to identify and respond to threats that may have gone unnoticed by individual security tools.

In addition, Open XDR is designed to be open and interoperable, allowing organizations to easily integrate new security tools and data sources as they become available. This flexibility enables them to leverage existing security investments while still benefiting from the advantages of an integrated security platform.

As a natural outcome, Open XDR has gained popularity among organizations that need a more effective way to manage their cybersecurity defenses (particularly as the threat landscape continues to evolve and become more sophisticated).

One recent company to do just that is NTT DATA Global Solutions with the adoption of Stellar Cyber, an innovator of Open XDR. With Stellar Cyber, NTT DATA gained a system for real-time monitoring and analyzing cyber-attacks occurring widely across the company and the cloud.

“For companies without dedicated administrators, I think the first step in security measures is visualizing the threats with Stellar Cyber,” said Junichiro Baba, IT Strategy and Management Group Manager, Business Strategy Promotion Department of NTT DATA. “We can analyze, detect, evaluate and trigger actions 24 hours a day without being bound by experience or subjectivity using the Stellar Cyber Open XDR platform.”

As Baba mentioned, Stellar Cyber automatically detects cyber threats on NTT DATA's internal network and virtual network networks that are globally connected around the world. (Yes, this includes security problems on servers, clients and networks.) Stellar Cyber visualizes in five stages, from attack signs to full-scale cyber risk warnings, and provides real-time cyber risk information to administrators.

The key features of Stellar Cyber Open XDR include real-time threat detection and response, customizable dashboards and reports, automated threat hunting, and integration with third-party security tools. The platform also provides a user-friendly interface, making it easy for security teams to manage and monitor their security operations.

“Stellar Cyber automates threat detection and response to cyberattacks through AI-driven automation, and it can greatly improve SOC productivity,” said Makoto Fukumi, Country Manager – Japan of Stellar Cyber. “Stellar Cyber will continue to contribute to promoting cyber security measures for many Japanese companies.”

Pentio, a channel partner of Stellar Cyber, provided NTT DATA with Stellar Cyber for AI threat detection and investigation of cyber threats.
