Datagate and Intuit Remove Telecom Billing and Accounting Headache for MSPs

By Greg Tavarez

MSPs are relied upon to handle business IT infrastructure. Now, it’s gotten to the point where businesses demand phone services from MSPs, making telecom services an opportunity for another revenue stream.

There is a hurdle that MSPs face, however, when it comes to telecom services. Billing telecom and managing telecom taxes as an MSP is challenging and time-consuming without the right tools. That said, a new initiative has emerged between Datagate and Intuit. The two now provide a comprehensive telecom billing and accounting bundle for MSPs looking to resell telecom services in the U.S. and Canada.

Datagate is a telecom billing solution designed for MSPs to bill telecom services and integrate with their in-house systems. With Datagate, integration into PSA and accounting systems makes for seamless billing. Datagate integrates with the telecom tax engines for automatic tax calculations for U.S. MSPs. Datagate also lets customers make payments, view usage and view their telecom invoices in one place.

From there, the invoices are synchronized to QuickBooks Online for unified reporting and payment collection, without any manual rekeying required.

The cloud-based combination of Datagate and QuickBooks Online allows MSPs to streamline selling and billing VoIP while leveraging the accounting capabilities of QuickBooks. Billing is unified, and accounting is simplified across multiple revenue streams for MSPs.

“Datagate plus QuickBooks Online is a great package for MSPs looking for an easy way to sell and invoice telecom services,” said Mark Loveys, CEO of Datagate. “Datagate takes care of the complexities of telecom billing and taxation, all integrated with QuickBooks Online to create a single pane of glass.”

Gavin Orleow, Vice President of Channel Sales at Intuit QuickBooks, agrees with Loveys and says that the two combined help MSPs scale their telecom business and drive revenue growth, all without worrying about billing.

“Intuit customers can leverage the power of Datagate to bill their telecom services without missing out on the financial tracking capabilities of QuickBooks Online,” said Orleow.

MSPs can now subscribe to Datagate Telecom Billing and Intuit QuickBooks Online through Datagate and Datagate resale partners. Additionally, as a member of the Intuit QuickBooks Solution Provider Program, Datagate now provides MSPs access to QuickBooks Online along with Datagate in a single bundle.

Datagate is an MSP Expo gold sponsor in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Feb. 14-16, 2023. MSP Expo is part of the  #TECHSUPERSHOW, which includes nearly a dozen collocated business technology events that bring buyers, users, sellers and partners together under one roof to educate and build business relationships around the technologies driving business success today. Datagate will be in Booth #754 in the exhibit hall.
