The 20 MSP Caps Off Year of Growth with 2 More MSPs

By Greg Tavarez

The MSP industry is in a consolidation activity phase as the demand for managed services increases with new and ongoing cybersecurity challenges as well as complex computing environments. This is natural for expanding sectors.

Managed IT services provider The 20 MSP is part of that consolidation activity as it created a plan to expand the reach of its national footprint and add to its expertise and resources. It previously did so by acquiring four MSPs in October and six MSPs in September.

Two more MSPs are acquired by The 20:

  • CSP Technologies, Arizona and North Carolina.
  • Code Red Networks, Michigan.

CSP Technologies and Code Red Networks see consistent growth, evolving into major regional players with proven track records of client success.

"They do all the little things right, and never lose sight of the true role of an MSP – helping your clients succeed,” said Tim Conkle, CEO of The 20. “It's that client-first mentality and commitment to excellence that has allowed both of these businesses to stand out in our crowded industry and grow.

These two acquisitions cap off a year of rapid growth and geographic expansion, but The 20 does not plan to stop as 2023 is shaping up to be another year of vigorous dealmaking

"We've settled into a rhythm that works," said Conkle. “As for the owners of the MSPs we're acquiring, we place them in roles that allow them to shine. It's about coming together and getting stronger – something we've believed in at The 20 from the very beginning."

The 20 ensures that there's no shortage of MSPs in its acquisition pipeline, and Conkle's plan for next year is to acquire two to four MSPs a month.
