BIO-key Expands Identity Solutions to Europe, Middle East

By Greg Tavarez

Cybersecurity is a big investment for companies, especially small and mid-sized businesses. With the average cost of a data breach around $4.24 million, SMBs turn to identity access management solutions for improved security while reducing IT costs.

IAM and identity-bound biometric solutions provider BIO-key, through its Channel Alliance Partner program, allows MSP partners to represent BIO-key's line of cloud-based IAM solutions to a global market. Solutions include self-service password resets, single-sign-on and near-limitless options for multi-factor authentication.

BIO-key agreed to a distribution partnership with Israel-based Multipoint in Southern and Central Europe and the Middle East, expanding worldwide customer support through its growing Channel Alliance Partner community.

The partnership with Multipoint will provide BIO-key with a strategic value-added distributor of cybersecurity with technical experience and a commercial sales team. Multipoint, operating in 15 countries, joined BIO-key's CAP program to leverage the expertise, reach and on-site presence of a range of leading IT service providers that deliver security solutions to their customers.

"This partnership will support BIO-key's strong growth in market share in the countries where Multipoint Group is currently active and should also drive substantial new revenue growth in new regional markets as they expand their footprint," said Erik Notermans, vice president of sales for BIO-key in Europe.

Multipoint offers distribution and pre-sales analysis, training and full support to resellers and customers interested in security and identity solutions. Customers of all sizes and industries in Southern and Central Europe and the Middle East will benefit with enterprise-grade security IAM solutions that are phoneless, tokenless and passwordless.

"Multipoint remains committed to partnering with cyber companies that offer advanced cyber solutions," said Ricardo Resnik, CEO and founder of Multipoint. “This collaboration provides a platform for exchanging knowledge and aspirations to reduce cyber threats together.”
